Alternative Service (Held in the Lounges)
All of Us Are Prayers of
Action on Our Way to God
Led by Rabbi Lawrence Pinsker and Leslie Hajer Participation by the Post-B’nai Mitzvah Group
Ideal for families with tweens, teens and beyond, 20- and 30- somethings,
and anyone who wants to experience an alternative to the Sanctuary Service
A service for everyone to “walk the talk” of the High Holy Days as we, turn prayer into a way of understanding and healing ourselves and the world. We’ll use many different forms of prayer available to us – not only words, but also storytelling, movement, and exciting new music and song. We welcome everyone, young and old alike, to find new meaning in the High Holy Days and to discover that prayer is not separate from our everyday lives. Come and explore what we mean when, during services, we say “I am my prayer”. You’re invited to an experience of Judaism that you’ve never known before. See how the Jewish New Year really can be a new beginning! We look forward to sharing this voyage of discovery with you!
