The heart of the Adult Leisure Group is its volunteers. Each of them contributes so much to the program. However, every once in a while I like to highlight the special efforts of some of them.
I call Sandra Caplan a part-time volunteer because she and her husband, Barry, are away at least four months of the year. However, when they return, Sandra more than makes up for her time away. Between Sandra and Barry, a plethora of proposed ideas come forth. Sandra is happy to pursue them for the pleasure of our group. Barry will drive for us when we are badly in need of volunteers. We are very grateful for their interest and commitment to our senior’s program.
Josie Brenner is a year-round dedicated volunteer. I don’t know what we’d do without her. She drives, she collects the lunch money, she takes over for me when I am out of town—never a complaint, always willing to do more than her share and always with a smile. We love you, Josie. |
