I think I’m going to start a Jill Brandes fan club. This vivacious, multi-talented lady has been a friend to Adult Leisure, performing many times for us over the years. This year she took part in our Purim Program for the first time.
Jill acted as mistress of ceremonies as well as performing. Her beautiful voice and beguiling manner charmed all of us including the professional musicians, who joined Mitch Parks in accompanying her.
We are truly blessed with wonderful talent in our synagogue family. Rabbi Berkal sang so beautifully and his sweet manner and gentle sense of humour brought many of us to tears. We hope he can continue to entertain us for many years to come.
We refer to Mitch Parks as our national treasure. He is always willing to accompany whoever calls on him. Mitch has always been an important and greatly appreciated musical talent to Adult Leisure.
All in all, our Purim celebration was a great success. Shelley and the wonderful catering staff added to the enjoyment of the afternoon (delicious lunch as always). We look forward to the next year. |
